The second edition of the Corporate Social Responsibility Summit organized by Mercado Media Network. A high-impact plenary that featured discussions and interactive sessions around the shared value concept and its implementation in Dominican companies. As the conference producer of this event, my role consisted in creating the concept of the event; producing the magazine related to it; speaker recruitment; program writing; and on-stage lead with one-to-one interviews and panels with leaders from both government and private sectors.

The 2018 Shared Value Summit – the Dominican Republic’s pre-eminent purpose-led business event – was conceived to explore an action-oriented approach to the fundamental topics of education, tourism, food, and environment. Renowned Harvard Professor Mark Kramer, the shared value’s concept co-creator, was the international speaker.

The conversation at the Shared Value Summit centred on creating shared value as the new business practice. Business leaders discussed how, by focusing on profit with social impact, companies can contribute to reducing inequality and creating opportunities for all.
